JCI Surigao North proudly hosted the area launching of the JCI Philippines National Program ‘Think Green’ during the 7-Day Earth Week Challenge: “Treevolution: Greening the Future Forward”! led by JCI Philippines Area 5 Mindanao Area Chairperson IPP Eric Libay and our 2025 LO President, Atty. Krystel Grace Calderon-Buniel, alongside JCI Surigao Nickel and JCI Surigao Wensie.

Think Green is a nationwide initiative program focused on environmental sustainability, promoting responsible waste management, and encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly practices within communities. This vital program aligns perfectly with our commitment to building a greener future for Surigao del Norte.

The event, held during our week-long Earth Week Challenge, emphasized the importance of collective action in tackling environmental issues. Participants engaged in various activities designed to raise awareness about sustainable practices and inspire positive change.

Through interactive workshops and collaborative projects, we fostered a deeper understanding of our environmental responsibilities and the urgent need for collective action. This launch served as a powerful catalyst, igniting a passion for environmental stewardship within our community.

By partnering with Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Surigao del Norte, Surigao YOUTH Convergence, Local Youth Development Office-Surigao City, Provincial Youth Development Office – Surigao del Norte, CIty Environment & Natural Resources Office (CENRO), Sangguniang Kabataan Pederasyon – Surigao del Norte and Rotaract Metro Surigao , we in our commitment to environmental sustainability. This collaboration underscores our shared vision to communities through responsible environmental stewardship.

The Think Green program empowers individuals and organizations to actively participate in creating a greener, healthier planet. Together, we are planting the seeds for a more sustainable future.
