Project SELF (Self-Care, Empowerment, Love and Freedom): Nurturing the Women Within at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) In a steadfast commitment to inclusive empowerment and social dignity, JCI Surigao North successfully conducted Project SELF: Nurturing the Women Within at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Surigao City. This initiative serves as a cornerstone of the organization’s National Women’s Month celebration, focusing on the welfare of Women Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The activity was led by 2026 Local Communications Director Atty. Princess Jezrael Frondozo, JCI Surigao North Pinay Power Project Chairperson, together with dedicated members – 2026 Auditor Jiezel Claire Eder and Paul Khalil Dumas.

Recognizing that hygiene is a fundamental component of health and self-worth, the team distributed specialized Women Hygiene Kits to the residents of the female dormitory. The mission of Project SELF goes beyond a simple donation; it is a deliberate effort to ensure that women in transition feel celebrated, remembered, and empowered.
