Behind the Scene

Clear directions save lives—and JCI Surigao North takes a step forward in building a safer, more prepared community. Through the installation of road signages in key areas across Surigao City, we reinforce the importance of visibility, accessibility, and timely information—essential elements in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).
Prior to the installation, the dedicated BOD members conducted a courtesy call to Barangay Poctoy, Surigao City led by Brgy Captain Hon. Josephine Patan, fostering collaboration and ensuring community alignment for the initiative.
Aligned with the mission of JCI to develop young leaders to create positive change, this project reflects our commitment to community development, leadership in action, and sustainable impact. Spearheaded by our 2026 Director for Government Affairs, Rjan Mark Canoy, together with 2026 Vice President for Community Charis May Guerra, 2026 Vice President for Business Kizelle Kate Tokong – Canoy and 2026 Local Awards Chair Shepheionn Carutcho, this initiative embodies our vision of creating lasting solutions that empower communities and enhance public safety.
Together, we continue to lead with purpose—because every direction we set today shapes a safer tomorrow.
