Clean water is more that a necessity – it is dignity , health, and opportunity. In the afternoon of May 9, 2026, JCI Surigao North led by 2026 LO President Jemima S.

Plaza proudly joined as co-host for the JCI Philippines Mindanao Area 5 Launching of National Program Clean Water and Sanitation at Patrecio A. Bernaldez Memorial National Highschool together with JCI Surigao Nickel as lead host.

The initiative highlighted the importance of creating safer and healthier learning environments for students and communities through programs that promotes proper sanitation, hygiene awareness, and access to clean water. More than a project launch, it was a collective commitment towards building sustainable communities where wellness and dignity are prioritized.

Together with JCI Philippines Northern Mindanao Region Leaders led by 2026 Regional Vice President Junelyn Chaves, Area Chair David Zabala, National Chair Maria Teresa “Reese” Arnesa, and fellow partners in service, the activity became another meaningful step towards creating lasting impact through collaboration and shared purpose. JCI Surigao North is honored to stand alongside organizations and leaders who continue to transform service into action and compassion into community impact.
